Review: Night of the Living Dummy

Night of the Living Dummy
Night of the Living Dummy by R.L. Stine

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Lindy finds a thrown dummy in the junk, she thinks she can be a ventriloquist. And she is! She even can earn money from it. That makes Kris, her twin sister, gets jealous. Even when she manages to get a dummy as well, she can’t be a better ventriloquist than Lindy. However, it’s mainly because there is something wrong with Kris’ dummy.

It’s a bit boring in the beginning of the story, when the book highlights how Kris and Lindy compete with each other about which one of them is more popular with their own dummy and how they are jealous on each other. But it becomes more interesting when Kris’ dummy causes troubles. It goes even better when the twin seems hopeless trying to put an end for the stubborn living dummy.
