Review: The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb

The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb
The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb by R.L. Stine

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Gabe, together with his cousin Sari and uncle Ben go to an adventure inside the Great Pyramid. However, one of the workers of his uncle do not really like it and try to mummify them.

I should say this one lacks the qualities of suspense and horror, unlike the previous books. Though the title suggests a curse, there is actually no further explanation about the curse in the story, such as what the curse is, the source, what it causes, how it affects people, and other questions that always pop up whenever you heard the word ‘curse’.

Somehow it looks like that the book focuses more on how Gabe and Sari each tries to show off which one of them is braver.
