Review: The Iron Queen

The Iron Queen
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Summer and Iron, merged together, becoming one.”

Without her knowledge, Megan Chase was granted the power of Machina, the Iron King she killed. Now that she has Summer and Iron power inside her, she can’t do magic without feeling sick for the powers attacking each other. Together with her lover Prince Ash from the Winter Court, her human father Paul, her best friend Puck and Grimalkin the cait sith, in the land for those exiled from Nevernever, she thinks her only problem now is how to learn to fight and control her powers.

Until one day the Summer King and Winter Queen, having no choice other than joining forces to defeat the false Iron King, ask her to save Nevernever from extinction spread by Iron fey. They even offer her the removal of the exile for her, Prince Ash and Puck if she agrees to venture to the Iron realm once again and defeat the false Iron King since, as a half human, she is the only one who can touches iron without being in danger.

Once again she goes into the Iron realm together with Ash, Puck and Grimalkin. Once again they encounter an amazing yet dangerous adventure. And once again the forbidden love between Meghan and Ash is tested.
